Nokia N8 – Set to Conquer

The launch date for pre-orders will still be September 30, 2010 and Nokia has denied the rumors and its own previous statement that it will  be delayed in a few weeks. Any possible delays will be related with the shipping itself and not with additional work on the phone as officially stated by Nokia.

Looking at Nokia N8

Nokia N8 is the first Nokia smartphone to run on the Symbian^3 operating system with single-tap interaction, featuring the addition of multiple home screens, customization abilities, and first multi-touch capabilities with gesture support on a 3.5-inch (89 mm), 360 x 640 pixel color and also the first Nokia to utilize a 12 megapixel camera sensor size of 1/1.83, which is bigger (and better) than most regular digital cameras. It will also be equipped with a xenon flash just like the Nokia 6220 and Nokia N82 and will be the first device to feature a Pentaband 3.5G radio.

Nokia stated that that software quality control will be better than the previous Nokia N97 that was criticized for its earlier firmware issues. The Nokia N8 will be available in Dark Grey, Silver White, Green, Blue, Orange.
